I find the concept of God unbelievable. But let us presume there is a God and He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and the controller of all things small and vast. He is the creator of everything we see and don't see. We will make him the Christian God because that is what I am most familiar with. Now if God is the creator of everything this must mean he is the creator of good and evil.
But why must there be evil?
Some people might say to balance the powers. Why do you need balance when you are God? If everything about God is true then He would have the power to make everything good because He is the balance(r). People might argue that he did this but through human freewill evil was created. Did God not give people the freewill? Why give humans freewill when you know it will only be destructive? People might say He doesn't want people to be robots and worship him like a zombie that it must come from love within your soul to truly understand His presence. But why then does God like to punish humans for not finding this love? (i.e. Hell)
And what about the acts that are evil to humans that are not freewill. Hurricanes, tornadoes, disease, volcanoes, floods, genetic disorders and so forth. All of these can effect the human race negatively without a choice being made. Are we to just accept that God is mysterious and us humans can not understand his ways? The Bible seems to understand God and his ways because He supposedly wrote it. So we can't really say he is mysterious then can we?
To me it seems that God is not all good. God is also evil. And if God is not evil then he has the option to get rid of evil but chooses not to. How is this something to be worshiped?
Just a thought.
